The Smart Hostel Management System is an integrated hardware and software solution designed to streamline student/guest hostel operations, automate security access, and enforce energy conservation across educational and commercial residential facilities in Pakistan.
Core Features & Architecture:
• RFID Card Room Access: Replaces physical brass keys with encrypted RFID smart cards, logging time-stamped room entry events to prevent unauthorized visitor access.
• Per-Room Digital Sub-Metering: Integrated digital power meter measuring real-time kilowatt-hour (kWh) electricity consumption per room, displayed locally on an LCD screen and synced to the cloud.
• Smart Thermal & Appliance Control: Room temperature sensors coupled with IoT relays allow automated scheduling or remote cutoff of heavy appliances (Air Conditioners, water heaters) when rooms are unoccupied.
• Centralized Administrative Cloud Dashboard: Real-time room occupancy maps, automated student billing based on individual electricity usage, maintenance ticketing, and audit logging.
