Industrial RO Plant Automation & Telemetry
Client: Industrial Water Treatment Facility
Project Overview
Project Overview:
Designed and commissioned a fully automated electronic control and monitoring system for commercial and industrial Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purification facilities. The system replaces manual valve operation with automated multi-stage pump sequencing and online water quality telemetry.
Key Automation Modules:
• Multi-Stage Pump Sequencing: Automated start/stop sequencing for low-pressure feed pumps, pre-filter dosing pumps, and high-pressure multistage booster pumps with dry-run protection.
• Automated Membrane Backwashing & Flushing: Periodic automated high-velocity flush cycles using motorized ball valves to clear mineral scale and extend membrane service life.
• Inline Water Quality Monitoring: Real-time monitoring of raw and product water TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), electrical conductivity (EC), and pH levels.
• Flow Rate & Pressure Transducers: Digital flow sensors calculating instantaneous flow (L/min) and total cumulative throughput, with differential pressure monitoring across cartridge filters.
• Cloud & Local Alarms: Visual strobe alarms, automated low-inlet pressure shutdowns, and remote status monitoring.
Impact & Results:
Eliminated catastrophic membrane fouling incidents through autonomous scheduled backwashing, reduced water wastage by 18%, and provided plant operators with continuous digital transparency on water purity standards.
